What is a quick coupler? Introduction to the classification and selection of quick connectors

What is a quick coupler? A quick connector is a connector that allows a line to be connected or disconnected without tools. We are familiar with some water pipe quick connectors, oil pipe quick connectors, etc. As shown in the figure, you should have seen it in your life. The quick screening editor below will introduce the quick coupler in detail.

In order to adapt to the differences in the demand characteristics of different devices for quick connectors, quick connector manufacturers produce many kinds of products, but it is a trouble for many consumers. The understanding of the model of quick connectors is not very clear, which makes consumers do not know which model to choose when purchasing quick connectors. Therefore, we should first understand the classification and application of quick couplings.

Quick connectors can be mainly divided into male and female. The following four models, B, C, D and DC, are female (with lugs), while A, E, F and DP are male (without lugs).

Type A quick connector is a male connector, which has no lugs on both sides. One end of the connector is directly clamped to the female connector with lugs, and the other end is connected with internal threads.

The two ends of the B-type quick coupler have a lug, which belongs to the female head. One end is connected with the male head directly, and the other end is connected with external thread.

C-type quick connector has two pull lugs, belonging to female connector. One end is directly clamped with the male connector, and the other end is directly inserted into the hose (leather tube). Therefore, C-type quick connector can also be called leather tube quick connector or hose quick connector.

The D-type quick connector is a female connector with a lug on both sides. The reason why it is called D-type quick connector is that one end of the connector is directly connected with a lug card, which is quick and convenient to disassemble, and the other end is connected with internal threads.

The E-type quick connector is a male connector, which has no lug. It is usually used together with the quick connector with lug to achieve quick connection and quick removal. One end of the E-type quick connector is directly clamped with the female connector, and the other end is directly inserted into the rubber tube and hose.

F type quick connector is a male connector, and there is no lug on both sides of it, so it is generally used together with female connector with lug, so as to achieve the effect of rapid disassembly and installation. Therefore, one end of it is directly clamped with female connector with lug, while the other end is connected with external thread.

The DC type quick connector is a female connector with a lug on both sides. Only one end of the connector is connected directly and the other end is in the form of a plug. This is a brand new plug.

DP type quick connector can also be called as a quick plug because it is a plug. It is a male connector, only one of which is connected directly, and the other is blocked.

We have learned what a quick connector is and how to select it. When selecting it, we should also pay attention to the type, temperature and pressure of the fluid, the structure of the automatic opening and closing valve, the service environment of the quick connector, and confirm that the connection threads of the quick connector selected should be consistent, as well as the shape and size of the installation. If you want to know more about the quick connector, you can continue to pay attention to Xianji, and the editor will recommend relevant content for you.
